Ortsgemeinde Lehmen

  • Lehmen

Lehmen is a strong piece of "home" - for young and old. Here, people live who are attached to their village. And what exists today has developed over a long, long time.

Our village can look back on a history of 1150 years. "Liomena," today's Lehmen, was first mentioned in a document dated October 20, 865. It was signed by none other than Emperor Louis II, known as the German. By the way: This makes Lehmen the oldest place in the Lower Moselle.

Over time, our village has always changed its face and today is a modern community, shaped by life on the Moselle and a wonderful wine landscape. Men and women powerfully shape the present by standing up for the community. Whether for clubs, the church, or the municipality – this commitment shapes life in Lehmen.

From 865 to today – a development worth seeing! That’s why we can be proud of our village.

And because the symbolic figure of Lehmen is the Razejung, who stands for community and social spirit.
