From the forest fire area of April 2020, the "Meulenwald-Moseltal-Blick" was created in 2021.
The idea is to provide forest visitors with a place to pause and relax, while also informing and raising awareness about forest-related topics, including forest fire danger and forests in climate change.
A family-friendly walkway and various seating options have been built at the new viewpoint using wood from the Meulenwald. In spring 2021, the burned trees were removed, the tree stumps were cleared, and a walkway and benches were constructed using Douglas fir and black locust trunks.
The Meulenwald-Moseltal-Blick is a fascinating new observation platform above the chapel at the healing spring.
