Premium path Cochem knight round

  • Cochem

This Moselsteig side jump high above the city of Cochem has everything you could want for a trip on the Moselle:

A colorful adventure trip with lots of landscape, two mighty castles, great panoramic views and the slate rock reefs that are so typical of the Moselle region. An equally harmonious and impressive day tour that is demanding due to its length and relief and requires absolute surefootedness and a certain level of fitness. Because of the shape of an eight with an intersection at the parking lot of the chairlift, this tour can easily be divided into two rounds, a "Winneburg round" and a "Reichsburg round". There is an access path across from the parking lot at the chair lift over Viktoriahöhe to Wilhelmshöhe.

Short profile Total length: 16.3 km Highest point: 380 m Lowest point: 85 m Duration: approx. 5 hours Difficulty level: difficult

General information

Openings
Due to a major construction project in the area of the Cochemer Stadtwald line, various paths, such as the Cochemer Ritterrunde or the Karolinerweg, are only accessible to a limited extent. Please walk around this area as far as possible. The Cochemer Ritterrunde has a total length of 16 kilometres. This total distance can normally be divided into 2 sections of 8 km each. Due to construction work, however, the shortcut between Wilhelmshöhe and Viktoriahöhe cannot be walked in the near future.
