The large private collection includes 3,000 fossils and minerals.
The extensive private collection of Michael Sendelbach includes over 3,000 minerals and fossils that have been gathered and prepared with great passion. In the local geological section featuring Hunsrück slate, volcanic rocks from the Eifel, and quartz from the Taunus, coal from the Saarland is also on display. 380 million-year-old corals and squid from the Eifeler primeval sea and 200 fossilized woods from the USA can also be seen. The collection from Scandinavia, with 1,500 exhibits, is the largest collection of Norwegian and Swedish rocks in Germany. Collectors have the opportunity to exchange their own finds.
New: The collection has been expanded by over 200 new minerals.
Our tip: For guests, Mr. Sendelbach offers excursions to collection sites upon request, followed by cutting, grinding, and polishing of their own finds (at cost price).
