Rathaus Ürzig

  • Ürzig

The current town hall in Ürzig was rebuilt in 1904 – at the location where a predecessor stood in 1595. The tower-like, three-story building is made of rubble stone and decorative half-timbering and bears the year 1904 as its construction inscription.

To this day, the building serves its function as an administrative center: On the upper floor is the meeting room where the municipal council meets. On the ground floor are the traffic office and a post office, which is operated by the municipality.

At the corner of the building, there is a sculpture of a knight with a shield. The following inscription can be read on the shield:
“Town Hall built in 1595 – rebuilt in 1904.”
