Small barn museum in Kleinich

  • Kleinich

Small, private museum, lovingly decorated. Old farming and household tools.

In the private barn museum, visitors can find old tools and artefacts. There are cast-iron meat grinders, kitchen scales and cooking pots and numerous enamelled household utensils such as baking tins and cupping spoons. There are also kettle ovens with a capacity of up to 90 litres. In the centre of the museum there is also an old horse saddle and fur-trimmed soldiers' rucksacks from the Second World War.
Another room is dedicated to agricultural equipment that has been carefully prepared by the museum's operator, Kurt Stumm from Fronhofen. These include the former cattle scales from Ilsbach, built in 1927, an old threshing machine from 1899, which, according to Stumm, was in use in Sohren until 1952, as well as some water pipes that were replaced in Fronhofen when the road was renewed.
