In addition to various brandies, the distillery in Bilzingen produces the first single malt whisky from the Moselle.
In the Wincheringen district of Bilzingen, in the Saargau region between the Moselle and Saar rivers, the first single malt whisky from the Moselle is produced. With barley malt from Luxembourg and Germany, oak barrels from France and production in Germany, the Threeland Whisky got its name. The somewhat different taste or character results from the storage in barrique wooden barrels, which were previously filled with Moselle wine.
