From Serrig over Saarburg to the confluence with the Mosel at Konz, the unique Saar Riesling grows on the steep sun-drenched slopes of the Saartal. The river valley presents itself here with a wonderfully varied landscape and numerous historical sights. World-renowned wine towns line up here: Serrig, Ockfen, Kanzem, Ayl, and Wiltingen with perhaps the most famous vineyard of the Saar: the Scharzhofberg. The internationally known British journalist Hugh Johnson judges the Saar Riesling: “One of the outstanding white wines of the world, which captivates sip by sip.” Nothing more can be added.
