Welcome to the Windparcours (K5) "Nature and Energy" hiking trail.
Since 2020, five wind turbines with the model name Vestas V 126-3.3 MW, as manufactured by Vestas, have been rotating here. In addition to solar energy, wind energy is one of the most important renewable energies for power generation. Renewable energies are infinite and represent the key to the energy turnaround and climate protection. The medium-term goal of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act of 2022 (EEG 2022) is to supply at least 80 % of German electricity consumption from renewable energies from 2030. In 2021, it was 42 %. By 2035, Germany's electricity supply is to be based almost entirely on renewable energies.
