wine trail Burg

  • Kinheim-Kindel

for little explorers! With nature quiz, play stations, and children's playground

Comfortable and informative family hiking trail through the Kinheim vineyards.

The route leads through the vineyard site "Kinheimer Rosenberg" alongside a lovingly designed insect hotel and two life towers set up as part of the project "Life Towers for the Moselle".

The benches set up there invite you to linger and discover the biodiversity along the Moselle.

Three play devices along the way, a large children's playground along the route, and 10 child-friendly info and nature game panels with quizzes offer varied fun for young and old.

We're off along hiking trail No. 13 to the Kinheimer Höhe. Once at the top, a bench at the "Bildstock" invites for a short rest. Then, turn left and take the next opportunity to go left again. From there, the path leads along the info panels with nature quizzes to the vineyard site "Kinheimer Rosenberg," where the first insect hotel can be found.

The path continues past an old wine press and a play xylophone, with a short climb before it takes a sharp left turn back towards the village. On this path stands a whisper flower, and not far from there is the second life tower of this route. Did you also spot the nesting box in the trees near the whisper flower? Perhaps there is a lot to see there right now.

At the next forks in the path, keep left (you will find a seesaw here) until you reach the old wine press again.

Now it's all downhill, passing by the life tower of the local community down to the B53. A path runs parallel to this, which now continues to the left.

At the playground of the Kita Sausewind, there is an opportunity to let off some steam – as long as the hike takes place outside the daycare opening hours.
