The musical heart of Kinheim

Whoever walks through the streets of Kinheim on Friday evenings can listen to the sounds of the Winzerkapelle Kinheim e.V., which fills the village with music on the occasion of its rehearsal.

It is impossible to imagine village life without the association. Not only at communal and Christian festivals and celebrations in the village the Winzerkapelle cannot be missing. It also organizes its own festivities, such as the Musical Spring Festival at Whitsun or the wine-filled music hours on Friday evenings in September on the Harelbeke Square, but also takes an active part in village life. With its distinctive and active youth work, the association offers young people in the village a varied hobby. In the club young and old come together and make music together. This not only strengthens the sense of community, but also makes a significant contribution to the preservation of art and culture in the Moselle Valley.

The Winzerkapelle Kinheim e.V. was founded in 1924/25 and today consists of about 65 active members and a youth band. In addition to providing musical accompaniment to village life, the Kinheim musicians are also known far beyond the borders of our wine village and travel a lot. The association still benefits today from the fact that the musical style was directed towards dance and light music very early in the association's history. The Winzerkapelle is under the direction of conductor Christian Vogt. Its large repertoire includes concertante brass music as well as modern light music with vocals.
