Pilgrimage by bicycle through the Moselle/Eifel region

On Saturday, 18.05.2024, cyclists and e-bikers can look forward to an interesting and scenic route of approx. 60 km. Here you will find sport, culture, history and faith under one hat or bicycle helmet! A blessing before departure, 6 stops at various churches along the way, thoughts from the pilgrim's booklet and the concluding get-together after returning to Machern Monastery make this day something special for the participants.

Participation is open to all cycling enthusiasts for an entry fee of € 25.00 as a donation. Registration and further information as well as binding registrations via the Museum im Kloster Machern under 06532 - 95 16 40.

... the path of small steps - and also of small stages. This day should be a beginning, a beginning of the cycling season, a beginning for the rest of the year, a beginning to reconsider.

Doing something good for the body, strengthening the spirit, discovering the culture in some imposing and interesting churches of the region, pausing and riding on strengthened...
You can only really "experience" slowly and with open eyes...

The participants will meet at Machern Monastery from 09:30. Sufficient free parking spaces are available. After the individual information and the blessing by Pastor Bruno Comes, the journey can begin.

Four of the six station churches offer a special feature: a QR code at the entrance connects the smartphone with the music samples of the respective organ and also provides interesting facts about the organ, the builder and its location.
A stay of 10 - 15 minutes is planned at each station. Of course, this can be decided individually.
The end of the day will again take place at Machern Monastery. Here the participants can talk about the journey or end the day in the monastery park or in the monastery restaurant.
