Hero Wines is a gin producer from the Moselle village of Minheim.

Inspired by the Marvel films, the desire to combine wines and spirits with the superhero theme arose at the beginning in 2016. With our own vineyard and adjoining distillery, the basic prerequisites were of course in place. After the first wine, our Mr. Branch Riesling Kabinett, our Hero Gin followed after a few test runs. To date, we have expanded our product portfolio to a total of 5 varieties with Hero Gin, Ginera, Hero Sloe Gin, Hero Barrel Aged and Mr. Branch.

Our superheroes are produced in a small-batch process at our own distillery in Minheim on the Moselle. Each batch is distilled 2.5 times, giving it its incomparable character. We make sure that the macerate is heated gently in order to find the full flavour of each individual botanical in our gin. This is another reason why we do not use a large number of botanicals. For example, we use a maximum of 8 botanicals in the macerate of our Ginera.

We only produce 300 bottles per edition. The exception is our Hero Gin Barrel Aged, which is limited to 110 bottles per batch due to the barrel in which it matures. We only use high quality botanicals. Mostly from organic cultivation and depending on availability also from the local garden. All botanicals are selected and peeled by hand. This way we can ensure that only ripe and high-quality fruits and spices end up in our gin.
