After studying agricultural sciences, Marco took over the farm from his parents in 2005. Since then, the winery has undergone significant changes.

After a majority of the production was already switched to modern temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks in 2005, a new hall for wine processing and new storage facilities for wine and the constantly growing machinery were created in 2010.

With the construction of 2 new apartments and a modern wine shop in the old pressing hall, old plans are now finally completed.

The change in the product range has been even more pronounced. Of course, there are still the typical fruity-sweet Riesling wines from the great slate steep locations, but today 80% of the wines are produced dry. The Burgundy varieties are gaining importance and are benefiting from climate change at the Moselle. Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay form a counterpoint to Riesling and complete the selection.

In 2021, the first Piwis were planted. Satin Noir and Cabernet blanc mark the start of a wine cultivation that is truly sustainable and conserves valuable resources. It remains exciting…
