Cycling here can be addictive. In the Cochem vacation region, there are trails and tours for every type of cyclist.
From Cochem, take the bike path through Ernst toward Poltersdorf. Here, you can take the ferry to Beilstein (ferry hours: daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., from Easter through the end of October). From Beilstein, cycle back along the Moselle to Cochem.

Tip
From Beilstein, you can also take the boat back. Here, you’ll pass through the Moselle lock at Bruttig-Fankel.
Getting there
The quickest way to reach Cochem is via the A 48 Koblenz-Trier. If you’re coming from the east, take the Kaisersesch exit (No. 4); from there, it’s another 12 km to Cochem. Just follow the signs. If you’re coming from the west, take the Ulmen exit (No. 2) off the A 48; from there, the route to Cochem (23 km) is also well-signposted.

Please use the city parking lot behind the Cochem train station. P3
Public transit
Cochem is also easily accessible by train. All trains operating on Deutsche Bahn’s Moselle line (Koblenz–Trier) stop at the Cochem (Mosel) station. The RE takes 37 minutes from Koblenz to Cochem (49 minutes from Trier).
