The route begins at the Tourist Information in Konz. Follow the L137 along the Saar towards Kanzem. From Hamm, the route leads along the nature-protected Saarbend with rapids and river groynes. Kanzem is characterized by charming narrow alleys and courtyards with exemplary renovated old farmhouses and Gründerzeit villas. Be sure to plan a visit to the wine shop "Buch und Wein" and the Life Garden in Kirchstraße. Now follow the L137 to Wawern. The village lies in a valley widening which has formed a large wetland, today protected as the "Wawerner Bruch". The synagogue and a rabbi's residence recall the synagogue community founded in the 19th century. The route continues via the B51 to Ayl. The wine village lies in a picturesque valley widening at the foot of the world-famous vineyard "Ayler Kupp". The cultural landscape path leads around Ayl as well as to the barbecue hut Mohlems Kopf with the interesting wine-in-the-forest project "Arbustum". From Ayl follow the B51 to Saarburg. This lively small town attracts with numerous sights. The approximately one-hour city tour through the old town leads to the impressive waterfall, which falls 20 m over rock cascades in the center, to Saarburg's Little Venice, and through the narrow streets and corners of the old town up to the castle complex with a magnificent view of the Saar valley. The trip continues via Krutweiler through the Saar valley to Staadt. A narrow road leads up to Kastel. A visit to the Klause, a burial church for the Blind King Johann of Bohemia, is highly recommended. Also worth visiting are the adjacent honor cemetery, the old village church from the 12th century, and the Roman theater. Continue the route to Freudenburg with the castle complex from the 14th century. Then follow the L133 to Taben-Rodt. At the outskirts of Taben-Rodt is the Michaelskapelle from the 15th century with a magnificent view of the Saar valley. Over the bridge you return to the Saar valley and now drive along the B51 to Serrig. At the estate (follow the signs in town) you can experience a round trip with a reactivated field railway and buy typical regional products in the estate shop. The route continues along the B51 downstream to Irsch. The wine village lies comfortably spread out in the former Saar valley. Along the K137 you come to Ockfen with the famous vineyard "Ockfener Bockstein", which produces top-quality wines. Along the Saar you reach Schoden, located in a romantic river bend. The L138 leads you further to Wiltingen. Magnificent villas shape the appearance of the largest wine village on the Saar. Its landmark is the neo-Gothic church, popularly known as the "Wiltinger Saardom". The road leads through the village toward Oberemmel, past the world-famous vineyard Wiltinger Scharzhofberg. It continues through Oberemmel and the "Konzer Tälchen", a former river valley of the Mosel, with the villages Krettnach, Obermennig, and Niedermennig. At the exit of Niedermennig, a path on the left leads to the oil mill from the 19th century. Continue driving to Konz, the starting point of the round trip.
