The hike along the chapel trail in Reil is an idyllic route that takes you through the fascinating landscape of the Middle Moselle region. With a length of around 14 kilometers, this circular trail not only offers breathtaking views, but also cultural highlights and an exciting encounter with nature. You will pass through vineyards, picturesque villages and historic chapels, which give the tour its name.
General information
Directions
Start at the Reiler church, along the Reiler footfalls to the Marienkapelle chapel at Reiler Hals. Cross the L105 and a short stretch along the district road towards Ürzig. Continue through vineyards to the "Heißer Stein" district and the chapel there. From there back to the church.
The tour is not signposted.

Take care when crossing state and district roads.
Equipment
You should wear sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing for the tour. The atmosphere is particularly magical in the early morning or late afternoon when the sun is low in the sky. A rucksack with plenty of water and snacks is also recommended, as there are only limited opportunities to stock up on food along the way.
Tip
Both chapels offer a wonderful view of the Moselle valley. Don't forget your camera!
