The Dortebachtal is a unique, alpine-looking Moselle side valley of special beauty near the community of Klotten with a remarkably rare animal and plant world.
In this valley, a remarkable and rare animal and plant world has settled. Follow the signs and the logo with the lizard. They lead you from the hiking parking lot at the Moselle (B49) after 700 meters to a waterfall, which offers a welcome refreshment in summer and grows into an impressive ice wall in winter. Via switchbacks, you reach the mountain plateau in the "Klottener Neuwald" and the "Annischerhof." From there, you will be guided past meadow orchards to the viewpoint "Kasteschkopp," where you can expect a panoramic view of the Moselle valley and the vineyard terraces. From "Kasteschkopp," switchbacks lead you back down to the valley floor and then to the starting point at the hiking parking lot.
