The Dortebach Valley is a unique, apline Moselle side valley of special beauty near the municipality of Klotten with remarkably rare flora and fauna.
A remarkable and rare fauna and flora has settled in this valley. Follow the signs and the logo with the lizard. They will lead you from the hikers' car park on the Moselle (B49) after 700 metres to a waterfall that offers welcome cooling in summer and grows into an imposing wall of ice in winter. Via serpentines you reach the mountain plateau in the "Klottener Neuwald" and the "Annischerhof". From there, you will pass orchard meadows to the "Kasteschkopp" vantage point where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Moselle valley and the vineyard terraces. From the "Kasteschkopp", serpentines lead you to the bottom of the valley and then back to the starting point at the hikers' car park.
