Round route from Saarburg via Trassem, Faha and Taben-Rodt back to Saarburg.
From Saarburg via Trassem through the romantic Leuckbach valley to Faha. From there on the Saarland cycle path to Taben-Rodt. Departure into the Saar valley back to Saarburg.
General information
Directions
The route starts in Saarburg and first leads over Hecking and Graf-Siegfried streets to the B 407. There you ride on a separate bike lane along the B 407 to Trassem. After passing through the town, turn into Leuktalstraße and continue following the street along the stream bed to Kollesleuken. After a short stretch on the L133, turn left shortly before leaving Kollesleuken onto a country road. After about 2 km, continue following the course of the country road to the left towards Hof Spirkelsbach and from there on to Faha.
From there, continue via the Saarland cycle path over Weiten and Käsgewann to Taben-Rodt. In Taben, first cycle on the main street and Hauser Weg until the street finally merges into the L 133. Continue on the L133 to the Taben-Rodt train station.
The last part of the route takes you along the Saar cycle path past Serrig back to Saarburg.
E-bike charging stations can be found along the way in:
- Saarburg at the shipping dock, at Boemundhof, and at the city car park/house of clubs.
- Serrig at the B51.

This route suggestion runs on various supra-regional cycle paths in the Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland regions. There is no uniform signage for the route.

Getting there
You can reach Saarburg from Trier or Saarbrücken via the B 51. From Hermeskeil or Perl, the B 407 leads into the town of Saarburg.
Parking
Free and all-day parking is available near the swimming pool / at the city car park.
Additional paid parking is directly at the train station in Saarburg.
Public transit
DB line Trier - Saarbrücken to Saarburg train station.
