From Konz via Könen and Tawern through the Mannebachtal to Mannebach. Continuing via Fisch to Wincheringen on the Upper Moselle. Along the Moselle back to Konz.

General information

Directions

The route begins at the Tourist Information in Konz and initially leads to Tawern. Here you should definitely plan a detour to the reconstructed Roman temple complex. It continues through the idyllic and shady Mannebachtal to Mannebach. From Mannebach, the route continues uphill via the K 112 to the Saargau village of Fisch. On the further way, you enjoy wide views over the agriculturally shaped Saargau. Via a service road, you reach the Moselle wine village of Wincheringen. Through the village of Rehling, you finally reach the Moselle.

From the Moselle bank, the route continues along the Moselradweg back to Konz. The Moselradweg was rated for the first time in 2024 by the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) and officially awarded as an ADFC quality cycle route with four stars. On this section, you pass idyllic wine villages such as Nittel, Wellen, Temmels, Oberbillig, and Wasserliesch. Along the way, you always have the neighboring country Luxembourg and the vineyards in view. On arrival in Konz, the rest area at the Saar estuary invites you to a cozy break.

You will find e-bike charging stations along the way in:

  • Konz at the train station on Bahnhofstraße (Bike & Ride Box) as well as at Brunoplatz/Brunostraße 24 in the Karthaus district.
  • Wincheringen at the bus stop "Am Markt".
  • Nittel at the village square, Weinstraße/corner In der Gessel.
  • Oberbillig at the ferry dock on Moselstraße.
