E4 - Endeler Köpfe

From the Tourist Information to the "Hotel Steffensberg." Here we cross the bridge to the right and immediately turn left into the street "Im alten Tal." We follow the signpost E 4. The hiking trail leads us past gardens and along the Großbach until we reach the street (L 192) "Am Steffensberg." We now follow this to the right, pass the "Hotel Dampfmühle," cross the bridge, and continue left on the street (L 193). After about 100 meters, immediately behind the LBG barn, we turn right into the street "An der Klause." The hiking trail now leads us steadily uphill past hedges, quarries, and through the forest to the height "Endeler Köpfe" (beautiful panoramic view). Here we turn left, pass a hunting stand and equipment hall, and meet a wide forest road which we follow to the right. After 200 meters, we turn right again, now hiking downhill through fields and forest into the Ahring valley. In the valley, the hiking trail leads us to the right, along the Ahríngsbach past the former "Rote Mühle," a fish pond, Herrenmühle, and Klostermühle back to Enkirch.

The Endeler Köpfe are ideal for a rest. From here, you can enjoy a great view.

By car via the federal road B53, L192, or L193 to Enkirch on the Mosel. About 150m to the starting point.

This route is easily accessible by train and bus.
By train (Easter to October): to Kövenig, then continue by ferry to Enkirch. About 150m to the starting point from the ferry.
By bus with line 333 (Moselbahn, Trier-Bullay) or line 720 (Bullay-Traben-Trarbach) to the Enkirch stop. About 150m to the starting point
