General information

Directions

The route begins at the Rhine ferry landing stage in Ehrenbreitstein. From there, you walk under the railway tracks to Kapuzinerplatz, follow Humboldtstraße to Bückerplatz, and reach a nice viewpoint with a view of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress via Klausenbergweg. From there, you return along Klausenbergweg, pass the Holy Cross Church, and follow the street "Obertal." Here you pass the spring "Dähler Born." At the large intersection, keep left and turn into Wambachstraße at the next intersection. Here you also find the Mutter-Beethoven-Haus. At the end of Wambachstraße, follow the street "Am Markt." After a short detour via Hofstraße, it goes back to the Rhine ferry landing stage.

Those who wish can combine the walk with a visit to the Rhine Museum or to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. The fortress can be reached either by the fortress elevator or via General-Aster-Weg/Felsenweg (about 20 minutes to the fortress). For this, follow the tourist signposts from Hofstraße.
