General information

Directions

Start and finish is the Ürziger Moselufer. Via "Molitorstraße", "Rathausplatz" and "Altenberg", the trail climbs steeply uphill to a sunken path. Red earth piles up on the right and left sides of the path. Then steps and a bridge lead to the first attraction, a small "witches' cottage". Here you can take a breather and admire the lovely furnishings of the enchanted hut. Now we are also on a section of the "Moselsteig" and at the next two forks in the path, the first play stations invite the children to join in.  They can make a phone call on a forest telephone and large rings on the trees invite them to play a game of throwing. The route continues uphill, but then the ascent is done. Shortly afterwards comes the forest slide, which encourages you to slide on your bottom or on your stomach! Continue to the edge of the forest and past the tennis court. On the playground of the "Ürziger Höhe" children can romp around! The "book tower" is new.  Then turn around, back into the forest and a little later walk again on a short section of the "Moselsteig". Now the Rotschwänzchen route leads to the valley edge of the Moselle and gives a view of the Hochmosel bridge! The route continues into the vineyards, past the geology garden to the upper entrance of the spice and rose garden. There, at a rest area, the children can try their hand at a sound game. In the spice and rose garden, they can then sniff out a variety of scents. Now all the senses are sharpened!
