The tour begins at the train station in the Karden district. Right at the start, you’ll cross the bridge over the Moselle and follow the Moselle Bike Path for a short stretch along the riverbank.
After about 3.5 km, turn right and ride into the peaceful Lützbachtal valley. Here, follow the Hunsrück-Mosel Cycle Route. The route takes you steadily uphill through Lütz, Lieg, and other small villages all the way to Kastellaun.
In Kastellaun, switch to the Geierlay Circular Cycle Route toward Mörsdorf. Shortly before reaching Mörsdorf, turn off toward the Geierlay suspension bridge, the final destination of this tour.
The return trip follows the same route back to Treis-Karden (for a total of 87 km).
