The culture trail "Counts, Gold and Black Peter" leads over a total length of 47 kilometres through the centuries of the County of Veldenz. This is section Ⅰ of the culture trail.

Discover and experience important testimonies and exciting stories of counts, burghers and Black Peter, of territories and villages, of religious struggles and wars, of life and work as well as architecture and wine: that is the Grafschafter Wanderweg "Grafen, Gold und Schwarzer Peter".

It runs for 47 kilometres through the cultural landscape of the county. Here on the Moselle, this included the villages of Brauneberg, Mülheim, Andel, Veldenz, Burgen and Gornhausen. The trail consists of several circular routes, so you can also walk the culture trail in individual sections and plan your hike individually.

Insights into the hiking tour:

A possible starting point is the village of Mülheim. Situated in the midst of vineyards, the village is particularly famous for its wine.  This is because the wine from the "Sonnenlay" vineyard was the most popular wine on the Zeppelin's Atlantic flights and was therefore considered the "king of the skies" among wines.
