This route takes you from the Warsberg holiday park in Saarburg to the idyllic wine village of Ayl. Along the Saar riverbank and further through the vineyards, you reach Saarburg again.
From the Kreuzberg viewpoint, there is a unique view over the Saar valley. Particularly interesting are the insights into the different time periods of geological history. The hike around the "Kreuzberg" connects other beautiful viewpoints, sunny vineyards, and nature experiences in the area of flora and fauna.

Parking reception - last entrance campsite direction Mannebach - upper vineyard path - turn right over the "Mohlemskopf" - Ayler grill hut - Arbustum - downhill to Ayler village square - crossing B 51 - Biebelhausener Str. - right at the sports field - bike path/ Saar riverbank - sculpture at the river - via the Saar riverbank path to the biotopes - Ayl cultural and landscape trail - St. Lambert chapel - Leuker cross - viewing platform "Kreuzberg" - vineyard path at the forest edge - parking reception
Tip
Please note that this hiking route is not a certified premium hiking trail and there is no continuous signage of the route. Furthermore, the path partly runs on paved agricultural roads and not on narrow paths.
Getting there
You can reach the town of Saarburg via the B 51 or B 407.
Parking
Free parking is available at the reception of the Warsberg holiday park as well as at the upper station of the chairlift.
Public transit
By train: Saarbrücken-Trier line to the station in Saarburg, from there the chairlift is reachable on foot in 5 minutes.
