The approximately 6-kilometre-long circular path of religions makes the significance of the religions for the social, economic and cultural life in the village clear to the interested hiker. The viewer should recognise their own roots, develop understanding for the foreign and tolerance. The cultural trail of religions combines Celtic natural beliefs, Roman imperial religion, monotheistic Judaism and the Christianity that developed from it in one circular walk.

AUFSTEIGEN, AUFATMEN, AUFLEBEN (Rise, Breathe, Live again) is the title given to this high-quality hiking and cultural trail by a scientific and theological editorial team. (Start and welcome board at the tourist information office).

More than a year of preparation promises a high degree of sensitivity for a particularly challenging topic: Cultural Path of Religions.

The hiker will find information and descriptions on valuable glass panels, e.g.: on Judaism in Ediger-Eller and in the Moselle region, on the topics of religion and wine, religion and creation, religion and the forest.

Along the route, you will discover the former synagogues, the future House of Psalms, the prominent St. Martin's Church with the most ornate Gothic slate helmet in Europe and Germany's third oldest Way of the Cross up to the Chapel of the Cross with the famous stone relief "Christ in the Winepress".

The hiker passes a room of silence and finds exceptional resting benches at secluded forest spots.

Descending to the devotional path in the Pehr valley, the hiker then reaches the Pehr hut, a chapel of Marian devotion. The Maria-Einsiedlerkapelle on the banks of the Moselle then marks the end of the circular trail.
