The thematic areas of geology, humans, and history are creatively presented using information boards and sculptures. As a hiker, you also have the opportunity to engage creatively and actively with stones.

The cultural route “Mesenicher Steinreichskäpp” is an experience offer in the WineCultureLand Moselle. As part of the Moselle experience route, the long-distance hiking trail between Trier and Koblenz, it enriches the many thematic paths in an artistic and humorous way. At the center of the cultural route is the human being, who created Moselle culture in the tension between nature and landscape.

Here in Mesenich, the central themes revolve around geology: water, stone, and wine – this concise formula guides the content and design of our cultural project. So it is primarily the stone-carved heads of Mesenich personalities as well as the playful engagement with stones that make the special feature of the “Steinreichskäpp”.

Hikers are also given the opportunity to engage creatively and actively with stones. Our cultural route leads over well-developed paths from the “Briederner Schweiz” to the “Senheim Sculpture Park” through three experience and

Thematic areas:

• Moselle riverbank: water

• Village of Mesenich: building blocks and top wines

• Vineyard path: stone and wine
