This easy route first runs along a former railway track. On a shady path along the Alzette, you circle the capital and head towards the spa town of Mondorf-les-Bains. The path winds through forests and vineyards up to the wine town of Remich. In the wide Moselle valley, you cycle downstream through the fortress town of Grevenmacher to the lowest point in the country at Wasserbillig. The route follows the Sauer from its confluence with the Moselle through a splendidly green landscape back to Echternach.
