Experience and discover the diversity of Zellerland and the Moselle valley, pure nature, castles, vineyards, and of course the romantic Moselle course. The 'Mosel-Camino', between Koblenz and Trier, is part of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. The yellow scallop shell on a blue background marks the approximately 160 km long pilgrimage and hiking trail (with detours and visits about 180 km). The converging ribs of the shell point as an arrow in the direction of Trier.
General information
Directions
In Treis, turn right and walk over the main road to the edge of the town. Below Wildburg, the path leads on bumpy ground, gradually rising to Beurenkern. A few hundred meters behind Beurenhof, turn right at a right angle into the Flaumbach valley. Soon you will see Maria Engelport Monastery. Continue uphill through the forest to K 36; turn right there, walk 200 m on the road, then turn left into the forest at the hut 'Schafstall'. Continue down to Beilstein with the Capuchin monastery church and Metternich ruins. Then follow the K 42 (asphalt section) for a good stretch and through the forest upwards again to the Hunsrück heights, where you soon reach L 200. Cross this to reach the 'Alte Schanze' via a hollow way, then an open meadow path (with 'bee television'). Cross L 98 there and continue southeast to the chapel called 'Lindenhäuschen'. Continue on the driveway, then turn right into the forest at the panoramic hut. After about 1½ hours, you reach the Moselle valley again in Bullay.
