Mosel vineyard route

From the parking lot along the Mosel up to just before the harbor. There turn left past the harbor basin and stay on the bike path to Kövenig. There cross the railway line and follow the K62 uphill. After two steep climbs you reach the height and at the next opportunity turn onto the K63 towards Reil. On the Reiler Hals turn right onto the B49 and in the next hairpin bend do not follow the B49 anymore, but go straight ahead on the paved farm road and back into the town of Reil. After the bridge, turn slightly right directly onto the paved farm road (hiking trail sign R7). Follow the path to Burg. In Burg turn left and follow Enkircher street to Enkirch. In Enkirch turn right through the underpass and from there always stay on the bike path. Pass through Traben-Trarbach until shortly before the district of Wolf. There cross the bridge. Shortly after the campsite follow the Mosel bike path signs along the Mosel back to the starting point.

The path runs partly on vineyard farm roads. These are well passable for road bikes. Some caution is advised during the autumn wine harvest, as these paths are then frequented by many vintners and harvest helpers.

Usual equipment with helmet and enough water.

A detour to the district Heißer Stein offers wonderful views of the entire Mosel valley!

By train to Traben-Trarbach station. Alternatively, you can also get off earlier in Reil or Kövenig and start the route there.
