On the 5-kilometre adventure hike, you can discover the local flora and fauna, rare and unknown wild fruit, artistic elements and much more. Numerous benches and sensory loungers invite you to linger and enjoy the unique panorama high above Fell. It's worth coming back, as there are many more attractions planned. The starting point is currently the Winzerkeller in Fell, as there are plenty of parking spaces available there. However, the car park at the start-finish portal will also be available for hikers until spring 2o24.

Die Planer --- Feller Maximiner Wein e.V. --- des Moselsteig-Seitensprungs "Stein & Wein Panorama-Erlebnisweg Fell" haben zahlreiche spannende & innovative Erlebnisstationen mit vielfältigen Themenschwerpunkte auf der Wegstrecke eingebaut, so dass man oftmals mit großen und staunenden Augen einen AHA-Effekt sondergleichen erleben kann.

 

Allgemein wurden neben herrlichen Panorama-Ausblicken gestalterisch und künstlerisch hochwertige Stationen & Werke in der Flora und Fauna erschaffen.

Anbei eine kleine Aufzählung der umgesetzten Ideen:

 

-Wildobst (Anpflanzung und Beschilderung von circa 70, teils seltener Wildobstsorten)

-Streuobstwiese (Anlage und Beschilderung)

-Fledermauswald (Ausführliche Beschreibung aller heimischen Fledermausarten, Aufhängen von Sommerquartieren, Schieferkunst mit gemalten Fledermäusen)

-Weiden (Anpflanzung, Beschreibung und Bedeutung)

-Errichtung und Pflege eines Bienenschaukastens, eines Insektenhotels, Aufhängen von Nistkästen

-Anpflanzung eines kleinen Weinbergs mit Piwi-Rebsorten

-Anlage eines Lavendelfeldes

-Erlebnispfad mit Tierspuren zur Maria-Hilf-Kapelle und zurück

-Errichtung einer Lounge unterhalb des Brunnenplatzes

-Anbringen des kleinsten Korkenziehers der Welt

-Bau von Sinnesliegen und Ruhebänken aus Eichenholz und Gabionen mit Schiefer

-Restaurierung eines alten Brunnens

-Freilegung und Pflege von knapp 5 Kilometern Trockenmauern

-Schiefer-Gästebuch

-Fertigung und Anbringung des größten Korkenziehers der Welt

-Aufstellen eines Bücherbaumes aus einem Eichenstamm

-Hinweis auf die alten Gemarkungsnamen mit Beschilderung

-Willkommensschilder aus Schiefer in verschiedenen Sprachen

-Sprüche und Bauernregeln

-Skulpturen aus Eichenholz

-Gemalte Kunstwerke entlang der Strecke auf den Schiefermauern

-Einrichtung eines Wunschbaumes

-Projekte mit Jugendlichen (Gestaltung eines Mauerteiles mit Geländer als Firmlingsprojekt)

-Aufstellen von übergroßen Wegweisern mit Hinweis auf die weltweiten Weinmetropolen

-Klangelemente und Klangspiele

Abgerundet wird das Angebot  mit einem Weinausschank sonntags & bei schönem Wetter am „Felsen“!

Directions

The planners --- Feller Maximiner Wein e.V. --- of the Moselsteig Side Trail "Stein & Wein Panorama-Erlebnisweg Fell" have incorporated numerous exciting & innovative adventure stations with a variety of thematic focuses along the route, so that you can often experience an unparalleled aha effect with wide-eyed amazement.

 

In addition to marvellous panoramic views, high-quality flora and fauna stations and works of art have been created.

Here is a small list of the ideas that have been realised:

 

-Wild fruit (planting and labelling of around 70 wild fruit varieties, some of which are rare)

-Meadow orchard (planting and signposting)

-Bat forest (detailed description of all native bat species, hanging of summer roosts, slate art with painted bats)

-Willows (planting, description and significance)

-Construction and maintenance of a bee showcase, an insect hotel, hanging up nesting boxes

-Planting a small vineyard with Piwi grape varieties

-Creation of a lavender field

-Adventure trail with animal tracks to the Maria Hilf chapel and back

-Construction of a lounge below the fountain square

-installation of the smallest corkscrew in the world

-Construction of sensory loungers and benches made of oak wood and gabions with slate

-Restoration of an old fountain

-excavation and maintenance of almost 5 kilometres of dry stone walls

-Slate guest book

-Fabrication and installation of the world's largest corkscrew

-installation of a book tree made from an oak trunk

-Reference to the old district names with signposting

-Welcome signs made from slate in different languages

-Sayings and country proverbs

-Sculptures made from oak wood

-Painted works of art along the route on the slate walls

-installation of a wishing tree

-Projects with young people (design of a section of wall with railings as a confirmation project)

-installation of oversized signposts with references to the world's wine metropolises

-Sound elements and sound games

The offer is rounded off with a wine bar on Sundays & in fine weather at the "Felsen"!

Equipment

Sturdy shoes.

Tip

On Sundays and when the weather is fine, the wine bar at the largest and smallest corkscrew in the world is a popular destination.

Look out for a waving flag of the local community of Fell near the bar ;-)

Getting there

You can easily reach the village of Fell via the A 602 motorway. Exit at the motorway junction Longuich, Fell and then take the L 150 & 145 to Fell.

Parking

There are plenty of parking spaces available at the start/finish point in the vineyards and at the "Zum Winzerkeller" restaurant and Fell sports ground (Kirchstr. 41, 54341 Fell).

Public transit

Take bus route 22 from Trier to Fell.
