Again and again, beautiful views into the Moselle valley, in charming alternation with wide Hunsrück heights.
A somewhat more demanding MTB tour with climbs from the Mosel towards Hunsrück alternating with beautiful descents through Mosel valleys. The technical demands are average and no problem for somewhat trained bikers with a penchant for metres in altitude (1430 m). Also ideal for e-bikes.
General information
Directions
Start: Marktplatz, Zell (Mosel) - along the Moselle cycle path via Zell-Merl to Bullay. In Bullay, before the bridge, turn right onto Neumerler Weg. At Brautrockstraße (Hauptstr.) turn left towards the railway station - keep left and go through the subway onto Bahnhofstr. - at Lindenplatz turn right into Kirchstr. Keep right again at the crossroads - onto Graf-Beisel-Str. keep left and turn onto "Im Tal" - keep straight on - behind Bullayer Kreuz keep left and follow the path - turn left and go downhill through the forest - past the Ankerbach stream in the direction of Zell-Merl - turn onto the L199 and in the Mühlental valley turn left into the forest in the direction of Lönshöhe/Lönshütte - keep straight on until you reach the Collis tower - from there take the path uphill towards Korayerberg - Altitude 412 m - along the Zeller Bach again downhill towards Marienhöhe - through the forest on to the B412 - cross the road and downhill through the Altlayer Bachtal - along the L194 and turn left and follow the Altlayer Bach - turn right to the K52 - along the K52 towards Bummkopf - from there turn right towards "Schöne Aussicht" and back to Zell (Mosel). Turn left in "Notenau" and take the first right at the "Zeller Schwarze Katz" roundabout and back to the market square in Zell (Mosel).

Refreshment stop at the Collis Tower, May-October, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 - 17:00. Also open when the blue flag is flying.

Getting there
via the B53 to the opposite side of the Moselle (via the Bullay double-decker bridge or the Zell-Kaimt motorway bridge). Then keep straight on until you reach the town hall, Balduinstr. 44, 56856 Zell (Mosel).

Public parking spaces along the Moselle promenade (subject to charge)
Free parking in the streets "Brandenburg" and "Am Bahnhof".
Public transit
by train to Bullay (tour can be started from Bullay)
