Mountain bike tour through the rustic wine villages in the Zeller Land and the famous "Zeller Schwarze Katz" vineyard.
On this tour through the forests and vineyards of the "Zeller Schwarze Katz", wonderful views of the Moselle valley await you. It goes up to the Collis Tower - from there you can enjoy a magnificent view of the town of Zell, with its districts of Merl, Kaimt and Barl.

Directions
The tour starts at the market square in Zell (Mosel) - from the "Zeller Schwarze Katz" fountain it goes along the Mosel cycle path to Zell-Merl - at the church "St. Michael" church in Merl uphill through the Mühlental - pass the Babilonsmühle mill and take the next right - cross the Rotheschbach stream and continue downhill along the path - follow the left-hand path - then take the next right uphill in the direction of Löhnshöhe- before the Löhnshöhe turn right and follow the path further uphill - now the path goes leisurely through the vineyards towards Zell (Mosel) to the Collis tower - from there follow the further path downhill through the forest towards Marienhöhe - the path leads through the Altlayer Bachtal, past the Breuers Mühle mill and through the forest back to the town of Zell (Mosel).

Tip
Refreshment stop at the Collis Tower, May-October, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 - 17:00. Also open when the blue flag is flying.
Getting there
Cross over the B53 to the other side of the Moselle (Bullay double-decker bridge or Zell-Kaimt motorway bridge). Keep straight on until you reach the town hall of Zell (Mosel)
Parking
Parking along the Moselle promenade (subject to charge)
Free parking in the streets "Brandenburg" and "Am Bahnhof".
Public transit
by train to Bullay and continue with lines 720,721 or 750 to Zell (Mosel) Lindenplatz (please note that it is not possible to take bicycles on the bus).
Alternative: Cycle along the Mosel cycle path to Zell (Mosel) - approx. 6 km.
