Round route for experienced mountain bikers! This demanding route takes you from Saarburg upstream along the Saar to Saarhölzbach, then up to Taben-Rodt and over the heights from Weiten to Freudenburg. Through the Kollesleuker Switzerland, it goes along the Leukbach via Trassem back to the starting point in Saarburg.
On the bike path, you cycle left of the Saar to the Serrig weir, then continue to Saarhölzbach. The route takes you uphill to Taben-Rodt and further to Weiten and Freudenburg. Now cycle along the Maria-Croon-Weg along the Leuk through Kollesleuken to Trassem and further to the starting point in Saarburg.

A highlight of the route is the Michaels Chapel in Taben-Rodt, offering a spectacular view into the Saar valley!
Getting there
You can reach Saarburg via the B51 or B407. The start and finish of the route is in the town center at the town hall on Graf-Siegfried-Strasse.
Parking
Free parking is available at the city car park and near the swimming pool.
Additional paid parking spaces are available in the city center.
Public transit
DB route Trier - Saarbrücken to Saarburg station.
