Everyone talks about the weather - the local community of Hatzenport does too. Therefore, it has created this beautiful cultural hiking route. Weather and climate, with this highly topical theme, enrich the diverse themed trails on the Moselle. Through wine and weather, Hatzenport gains special significance within the Moselle landscape. Especially due to its location in an outer bend of the Moselle, the orientation of the vineyards, and the specific wind conditions, a very favorable microclimate for viticulture is created here.

General information
Directions
As part of the Moselle Experience Route, the WeinWetterWeg leads in a large loop through Hatzenport and then eastwards over the Rabenlay to Löf as well as southwest to Burg Bischofstein and Lasserg.
The total length of the path is around 11 km with a distance of 5 km between Hatzenport station and Burg Bischofstein as well as a distance of 2.5 km between the Old Church in Hatzenport and the station in Löf. You can also walk the cultural trail in individual sections.
Safety Guidelines
The narrow path through the vineyards above Hatzenport is easy to hike but requires sure-footedness and a head for heights. In contrast, the 'Rabenlay climbing path', 'Dolling climbing path', and 'Burg Bischofstein climbing path' are additional alpine-character trail sections, only suitable for experienced hikers. Sturdy footwear is also required for hiking.

- Clothing adapted to the weather, if necessary in layers.
- Backpack with supplies: enough to drink and, if necessary, food, since there are not always places to eat or shop available or open.
- Depending on the weather, sun or rain protection, as well as mosquito/tick protection.
Getting there
On the A61 to the Koblenz/Dieblich exit, continue to the B49 and turn left towards Niederfell, cross the Moselle at Alken and turn right to Hatzenport.
On the A48 to the Ochtendung exit, continue to the B416 and turn right towards Hatzenport.

Parking directly at the station.

Accessible by train - sustainably travelling with public transport.
