Today's Ermannstraße in Wittlich commemorates the "Chemische Fabrik Wittlich", founded in 1909 by Salomon Ermann-Bach, which was affectionately called the "Wichsfabrik" by the people of Wittlich. Together with Wittlich's honorary citizen and jump cap inventor Wilhelm "Willi" Schrot and the innovative chemical tinkerer Dr. Alfred Lachs, the Ermann brothers Alfred and Otto made Ermin shoe polish famous beyond the borders of Germany.

Mineral water: a crate of regional mineral water (still, medium or sparkling) is available for you in the holiday flat on request for an additional charge.

In addition to the wine selection in the wine fridge (at an extra charge), we also offer an exclusive selection of special wines for the gourmet. Please enquire personally for further information.
