Moselsteig Etappe 16: Neef-Ediger-Eller

  • Cochem

Through the steepest vineyards to the most beautiful views. The section between Neef and Ediger-Eller is the shortest of the 24 tours - but it is undoubtedly a challenge: because here the Moselsteig leads directly into the steepest vineyard in Europe, the Bremmer Calmont. The serpentine ascent is a challenge, at the end of which a viewing platform awaits, offering one of the most beautiful views of the entire Moselsteig. A few steps further on, your gaze is drawn to the ruins of Kloster Stuben in the valley and the legendary Vierseenblick - a division of the Moselle trail into four individual sections. For hikers who are strong in the mountains, there is also the option of tackling the adventure of the Calmont via ferrata and crossing the steep slopes of the mountain range via steps or ladders. At the end of the stage, the trail leads along an idyllic vineyard path to Ediger-Eller. Difficulty medium Route 11,4 km Duration 4:00 h Ascent 425 hm Descent 445 hm
