The images in the online image archive of Mosellandtouristik GmbH may only be used for tourist presentation of the Mosel-Saar vacation region in a journalistic context and are free of charge for this purpose. For this purpose, they may be reproduced online and in print, distributed and made publicly available. Mosellandtouristik GmbH grants a simple, non-exclusive, temporally and spatially unrestricted right of use.

  • For commercial use of the pictures, the permission of the photographer and/or Mosellandtouristik GmbH is generally required.
  • Mosellandtouristik GmbH as well as the tourist organizations, which provide the photographs for the image database, remain the owners of the respective exclusive and unrestricted rights of use of the images of this Internet database. The provided photographic material always remains the property of Mosellandtouristik GmbH and/or its touristic partners.
  • In case of publication of the photographic material, the user undertakes to indicate a reference to the source at a suitable place in accordance with the following format: (c)Tourist organization, photographer".
  • Mosellandtouristik GmbH has the right to revoke the use of the pictures at any time without giving reasons.
  • In case of non-agreed use of the photographic material, the user shall pay damages to Mosellandtouristik GmbH. By paying damages, the user does not acquire any further rights of use to the image material. German law shall apply to all contractual relations between Mosellandtouristik GmbH and the user resulting from this agreement.

Further note on use:

  • Private use is understood to be the use of the images by private individuals on their websites in social media or similar.
  • Editorial use is understood to be illustrative use for reporting purposes, such as in magazines, blogs, social media, etc. by companies, journalists or private individuals.
  • Commercial use means, for example, brochures, advertisements, advertorials, banners, etc. by Mosellandtouristik, hotels, tour operators, etc.
  • Use as "advertising/sales material" is understood to mean uses in which an image is the main sales or distribution argument (e.g. regardless of whether free of charge or subject to a charge: -merchandise, postcards, mugs, e-cards, calendars, illustrated books).
  • Basically, when using the images beyond the private and / or editorial purpose, the photographer must be contacted and a release obtained. This also applies to motifs that are not to be used for the tourist presentation of the Mosel-Saar vacation region!
