The Café Hansen on the market square of Bernkastel-Kues spoils you with homemade products of finest quality. Besides pralines, chocolate and ice cream, you will find a wide range of cakes and specialities. The café is already run by the 3rd generation.
The Hansen family has owned the historic Art Nouveau house on Bernkastel-Kues' historic market square for over 100 years. Back then, in 1911, Hilarius Hansen acquired it as a bakery. His son Klaus Hansen and his wife Beate transformed the business more and more into a café-pastry shop. Norbert Hansen, the third generation, and his wife Konstanze then added their own confectionery to the business. Wencke Hansen, master confectioner and fourth generation, has recently started working in her parents' business.
