Visitors of the Moselle region should consider visiting Kastanienhof wine-growing estate in Kesten. The steep slopes around Kesten have been cultivated with great passion for several generations by the Esseln family.
The aim is to harmonize tradition with modern production methods while treating nature with care. This results in a love for the Riesling grape, which thrives on the mineral slate soils and is cultivated in all its facets. However, varieties such as Rivaner, Kerner, Weißburgunder, and Bacchus also have their place in the winery, depending on the soil and location. In addition to white wines, there is also a wide range of rosé and red wines made from Spätburgunder, Dornfelder, and Regent. Additionally: Secco and Riesling sparkling wines. You can taste these during a wine tasting at the winery.
