Winemaking for 350 Years

Since 1670, and for more than 350 years, our family has been dedicated to the art of winemaking in the slate steep slopes of Mosel and Ruwer. Today, Dr. Carmen von Nell-Breuning continues the Dominican Winery in the Ruwer Valley in the 11th generation.

We consciously focus on the grape varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir. In our vineyards, we carry out all vine work by hand. As the oldest sparkling wine manufacturer in the Ruwer Valley, we also produce sparkling wine using traditional bottle fermentation.

Since 2019, we have been working according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, making us pioneers in the Ruwer Valley. We have been dispensing with herbicides for over twelve years - out of conviction.

Our wines tell the story of their origin. They are finely woven, light, and distinctive in flavor, with great elegance and longevity.
