Dr. Loosen Winery

The Dr. Loosen wine estate is situated in Bernkastel Kues and managed by Ernst Loosen. For him, the 200-year tradition is lived passion. His ardour for the Moselle Riesling spurs the whole business. Ernst Loosen´s philosophy is: Great wines are the perfect expression of soil, climate and grape variety. The world-famous vineyard sites, such as “Erdener Prälat”, “Ürziger Würzgarten” or “Wehlener Sonnenuhr”, form the basis of his classic Moselle Riesling whose elegance, finesse and sensuality are without equal.
Innovations such as the dry "First Growths" taste of pure Moselle - marked by the distinctive terroir, full of subtlety and noblesse with moderate alcohol content. Ernst Loosen´s philosophy is: Great wines are the perfect expression of soil, climate and grape variety.
