High national and international awards demonstrate the success of Herbert Weis's work.
On 7.5 hectares of vineyard, primarily in the prime location of the Ruwer Valley, the "Kaseler Nies'chen," the focus is on Riesling wines. In order to maintain the distinctiveness of the wines in this premium location, the Weis family relies not only on years of experience but also on a vineyard management that is as natural as possible. The strict selection of hand-picked grapes is a fundamental requirement for the fine terroir to be reflected in the wines. Delicate, finely fruity wines with finesse and beautiful structure are the result of this careful handling of resources in the vineyard and the skilled vinification in the cellar.
