Grown on the mountain, cultivated according to the principles of ecological agriculture, harvested with united efforts, vinified with devotion. These are the guiding principles of our micro-winery Lay-Augenstein, located in the picturesque wine village of Pünderich. "Micro" means that we are a very small winery – we cultivate just under one hectare of land and do so in a rather unconventional manner, but with great dedication. We are committed to organic farming and make wine in a minimalist way. Our goal is to make the most unadulterated expression of the cultural landscape of the Mosel tasteable in our wine.

We are Sarah Augenstein and Johannes Lay, and together we operate the small organic winery Lay-Augenstein in Pünderich. From the very beginning, we have committed ourselves to organic cultivation. Minimalism is our guiding principle. Without unnecessary additives, we make wine from grapes. The goodness that grows on our land is expressed in the wine, allowing us to preserve it for pure, conscious enjoyment.
We offer wine tastings in a very personal atmosphere, even for smaller groups. Get to know us and our wines – in a living room atmosphere or on our sun terrace. We share interesting facts about wine, nature, people, and the cultural landscape of the Moselle.
