In the Moselle village of Wintrich you will find the sparkling wine factory Dirk Kessler. The manufactory exists since 1986 and is a small sparkling wine producer on the Moselle. The basis for the sparkling wine are wines from healthy grapes. During the production the classical bottle fermentation is used. The special feature of the classic bottle fermentation is that the wine remains in the same bottle from the first filling to the opening at the consumer. This method is also known as "Methode Champenoise". Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc or Rotling sparkling wines are produced. You are welcome to get to know the method during a cellar tour. You can also try the sparkling wine.
