Family is when everyone pitches in. This is especially true when an entire family is passionate about wine. For over three decades, everything at the estate in Palzem in Rhineland-Palatinate has revolved around the grape. The division of labour is (almost) always clearly defined: Alois Boesen and his son Markus take care of the wine, from tending the vines to bottling, while Silvia Boesen looks after the guests in the wine tavern, wine bar and holiday flats.
