The House of the Wine Shop was acquired by the municipality of Winningen in 1994 and prepared for its new functions with significant financial effort: Wine – Culture – Information. The wine shop was opened in the summer of 2004. 17 winemakers joined together to present the high quality of Winningen wines in this very tasteful setting. Visitors have the opportunity to taste and purchase around 40 wines and sparkling wines from independent Winningen wineries in one place. The guest pays a fee for the wines tasted and is thus "freed" from any further purchase obligation. In addition, the wine shop offers "wine-related" products such as spirits, wine literature, corkscrews, and other useful items for the wine household.
