The Riesling winery Stoffel In Leiwen, where the Moselle runs imposingly in tight loops through the valley; there we are at home! Extreme steep slopes, the mineral-rich slate soils and the unique microclimate give our Riesling everything it needs to mature into a great wine. Careful cultivation in harmony with nature, low yields and a wealth of experience are the basis for the special quality of our Rieslings. The vinification begins with the selective grape harvest and gentle pressing. The fermentation takes place reductively in stainless steel barrels, which is partly followed by a maturation period in traditional wooden barrel. Developing its own character for each wine is the greatest challenge for our winery every year. The result: Filigree Rieslings full of facets.
